A woman has shared a bizarre tale of her most awkward sexual encounter to date - but there's a positive message behind it.
Sex can be really great, but it can also be uncomfortable, unsatisfying and just downright awkward.
Understandably, most people hope the latter is something they don't experience too often.
But one woman has revealed how the most 'awkward' sex of her life ended up being one of the best things that could have happened to her.
And while that may sound a little silly, the message behind her story is actually very sweet.
So here's a look at what she had to say...
The unnamed woman explained all in a post on Reddit, where she revealed that the 'awkward' sex was with her husband.
She explains that the pair hadn't been intimate in about seven months, because she was pregnant and wasn't feeling very attractive.
On top of that, he was suffering with a skin condition that caused him to break out in itchy spots all over his body.
The woman had become worried that they would be stuck in a sexless marriage forever - until one thing changed.
"I got a pretty new dress for my baby shower," she said. "I curled my hair and did my make-up. I felt like a girl for the first time in months and my husband couldn't keep his eyes or hands off me.
"Normally I would gently turn him down, and he is always gracious and understanding.
"But I finally just said enough is enough. I missed sex and by god I was gonna get some."
So the pair went for it, but she describes what followed as "uncomfortable" and "the most awkward sex of [her] life".
Despite this, she says she'd never felt closer to him - because they were able to laugh through the awkwardness.
"We laughed and then kissed through the giggles, we touched each other tenderly in ways we hadn't in over half a year," she continued.
"I hadn't realised how disconnected I was feeling from him. How much I had missed him sitting right next to me. It was one of the most tender experiences I've ever had."
She added: "It's the first time I really felt like the beautiful woman I know I am in many months."
People were quick to congratulate the woman on working through her issues, with some also sharing their own relationship stories.
One person said: "We are also on a long hiatus. I was diagnosed with cancer in July. We haven't had sex while I was going through chemotherapy. I had surgery to remove my cancer last week and when I came out of anesthesia all I wanted was to feel my husband's arms around me.
"I can't wait to have weird uncomfortable awkward sex."
Another wrote: "This is so wholesome and I'm so happy for you both!".
